Dr. Hope Blecher

As a youth, Hope could be found in the art rooms or sitting on the stoop coloring and reading. She brought that creativity into the halls and onto the walls of classrooms and schools.

As an undergraduate, Hope happened upon the field of elementary education. She went on to become Dr. Hope Blecher, a multi-degreed and multi-certificated educator. She has earned a Bachelor of Arts degree, a Master of Arts degree, and a Doctor of Education degree, in addition to five education certificates that she has put into use from teaching kindergarten through being the director of curriculum and instruction, to being an adjunct professor. Her professional career spans forty years.

In addition to her professional service to students and their families, Dr. Blecher has evolved into Hope’s Compass, a nonprofit fund that she established in order to bring community service projects to fruition.

While she weaves her love for learning with teaching and community engagement, Hope continues to pick up the pencil to write articles, chapters, poetry and prose. Currently, she is wandering into multi-medium arts to bring Hope full circle.

The logo for Hope’s Hub evolved as the founder thrives through musings, meanderings and multiple meanings. In the back of her mind, she’s currently mulling a book about a family tale based on the moon, and about the meaning of hope.
